Summer may seem an age away, but that doesn't stop us from day dreaming of sunnier climes! This Spring sees bold and beautiful colours and tropical prints hitting the shelves when it comes to homewares. Think pineapples, palm trees and flamingos in shades of pink, orange and blue and transport yourself to sandy beaches and blue skies from the comfort of your sofa. Whether your bedroom needs a splash of colour, or you're looking for the perfect accessories for an outdoor get-together, stop by Primark, TKMaxx and Debenhams for a touch of the tropics!
The Spring Summer 2015 catwalks were brimming with bold hues and blocked colours, and lucky for you fashionistas out there. we've tracked down the trend in lots of our stores here at Fishergate. Not one for the faint hearted, this trend is all about the brights, with pops of sunflower yellow, fuchsia pink, lime green and cobalt blue taking centre stage. Brave the bold and clash colours head to toe for a look that the catwalk models would envy, or team your pieces with classic black or white denim and let the bold colours do the talking. For a more subtle approach, go for simple flashes of colour with accessories paired with a monochrome outfit.
Stuck for ideas to keep the kids entertained at the weekends? Why not let them get stuck in to some fun crafts to keep them out of mischief?! Whether they love to cut and stick, sew, paint or bake, there are tonnes of crafty kits to get their hands on at Fishergate and create something special with. Visit Hawkin's Bazaar or Poundland for affordable favourites and novelty kits, or stop by TKMaxx for something a little more special, where you'll find luxury ribbons, scrap books and papers. Debenhams and Argos have a brilliant range of well known arty brands such as Crayola, Galt and Airfix, so if it's a colouring kit for toddlers, something sparkly for the little girls in your life, or model making for the boys, we've got you covered!

We absolutely love the printed trousers too, great for taking from day to night by cleverly teaming them with a simple shell top and a pair of heels. Of course in Preston, Spring doesn't necessarily mean sunshine, so we've got our eyes on some great cover ups such as checked capes and dreamy pastel coats! We've stocked up on our favourites! Which ones will you be picking up this season?
*Please note, many of these items are limited edition for Spring and will only be available whilst stocks last. Don't miss out!!*
Attennnn-tion! Reign supreme like the models on the catwalk and rock the modern military trend this Spring. Camo colours such as khaki green and stone take centre stage, whilst soft silhouettes give a modern twist to the trend. Think unstructured jackets, soft chiffon shirts and relaxed jackets, complete with oversized pockets, metal hardware and contrasting fabrics for a nod to the traditional.
No, we're not talking about the film phenomenon! We're talking all things fashion of course! When you think of Spring style, colours that pop in to your head will no doubt be pretty pastel shades reminiscent of retro candies, or bright and beautiful yellows and pinks that resemble the blooms of flowers that start to make an appearance this time of year. One colour you might not think of is grey, but in fact it's one of the biggest (and chicest) shades to rock this season!
This easy-to-wear neutral is perfect for those of you who might not be ready to brave the brights just yet, and is a great alternative to the classic monochrome trend we all loved last season. Think soft jersey tops, tapered trousers, sophisticated sandals and statement accessories. It's not just for the ladies either! Grey is a great shade for menswear too, and our stores are bursting with both casual and smart pieces in a range of shades.
For Her For day, team jersey tees and lightweight knits in pale greys with classic blue ripped skinny jeans, then add pops of darker greys with the accessories. A simple fedora makes a bold statement, whilst dark silver necklaces give a subtle dash of interest to the look. If you're looking for workwear, choose tapered high waist trousers in mid greys, and team with a crisp white shirt or basic tee and relaxed duster jacket. Grey can even work for night too - don a bodycon dress and pair with statement silver accessories for a touch of sparkle!
For Him When it comes to every day, comfort is key. Pick sweatshirt and shorts offer comfort and style in just the right proportion, and printed tees are great as the weather warms up. If sweats aren't your thing, grey denim is a sleek alternative to black or blue, and looks great teamed with hi tops for day or brogues for night. For workwear, we've got suits aplenty, in various fits and fabrics, and then of course there's the ties! We can't guarantee you'll get the same reaction as Mr Grey himself, but you'll definitely be on trend this season.
If there's one thing we love about Spring, it's pastels! Now that all the new arrivals are landing on the rails, we thought we'd hit the shops and pick out some of our favourite candy coloured pieces that are perfect for the new season! We're loving all things baby pink, cornflower blue, mint green, lemon yellow and lilac when it comes to injecting a subtle splash of colour back in to our Winter wardrobes ready for the Spring. Team pretty pastel blouses with denim jeans, a chunky knit and pointed shoes for a chic yet casual look, or go head to toe in pastels, colour blocking various shades for an evening out with fluffy fitted jumpers, A line skirts and statement heels. If you're not quite brave enough to go the whole hog, then opt for pastel accessories such as vintage inspired handbags, bejewelled shoes or a delicate necklace to add a pop to a simple outfit.
