Preston Mums Make a Splash: Lush Mother’s Day Magic Born Right Here!
We’re bursting with pride here at Fishergate Shopping Centre! Did you know that two talented Preston mums, who are also part of our very own Lush family, have designed exclusive products for Lush’s global Mother’s Day collection? That’s right, the incredible Chloe Dudek and Klaire Sutcliffe-Campo have brought their creative visions to life, and you can find them right here in our Lush store!
Chloe and Klaire, both long-time Preston residents, participated in Lush’s Co-Create initiative, a fantastic program that empowers employees to share their authentic stories and create products for seasonal ranges. It’s all about celebrating diversity, inclusion, and belonging, and these two mums have certainly delivered something special.
“Peas in a Pod” Perfection: Chloe’s Edamummy Bean Bath Bomb
Chloe, who’s been a part of the Lush Preston family for nine years, drew inspiration from the sweet bond between mothers and children. Her “Edamummy Bean bath bomb” is a tribute to that “peas in a pod” feeling, perfectly capturing the joy of navigating parenthood together. As Chloe beautifully explains, “You have a lovely squishy newborn baby, but you’re also a newborn parent and you’re both navigating this whole new world together in your little bubble or pea pod. It’s one of the most beautiful feelings I’ve ever felt.”
Sweet Scents of Motherhood: Klaire’s Cinnamum Melt
Klaire, a 13-year Preston local, brought her love of baking and family moments to her creation, the “Cinnamum Melt.” This fresh bakery-scented melt, perfect for bath or home fragrance, is inspired by her son Alex and their shared love of cinnamon rolls. “My son loves cake and baking. We love to experiment and most of my bakes are based more on taste than presentation! However, Mummy knows where the best cafes are. Cinnamon rolls are our favourite and it’s how we came up with Cinnamum!” she shared.
Both Chloe and Klaire had the amazing opportunity to visit the Lush Factory in Dorset, working alongside the brand’s manufacturers and experiencing an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour.
Klaire summed up the experience perfectly, saying, “Without sounding soppy, becoming a mum has been both a hard job but an absolute joy and a privileged job too. My son, Alex, reminds me each day of how to learn and grow. I wanted to be part of the Co-Create to be part of a collection that celebrates mothers and mother figures.”
