On November 18th starting from 2:15 pm Fishergate Shopping Centre is transforming into a festive hub, hosting the ‘Switch On Trail’ where beloved characters and special guests await to share magical moments with you and your family.

Capture a moment with some of your favourite characters. Join us to meet The Snowman and the Snowdog, Shrek, and the man himself, Santa! Plus, Anthony Cotton from Coronation Street will be making a special appearance, along with other surprise guests. It’s a fantastic opportunity to snap those perfect festive photos and create memories that will last a lifetime.

Fishergate Shopping Centre is thrilled to invite you and your little ones to a spine-tingling afternoon of Spooky Story Reading! Grab your favourite Halloween costume (or come as you are!) and join us in a bewitching corner of Fishergate Shopping Centre. We promise a cauldron full of fun, enchanting tales, and just the right amount of spook for our younger guests!

We’re excited to announce that we are collaborating with Lush on a ‘Make your own Halloween Bath Bombs’ event! Come down to Fishergate Shopping Centre on Wednesday the 25th of October 12pm – 4pm and have the chance to make your own pumpkin and ghost bath bombs at the pop-up workshop.

The cost is the price of the bath bomb plus £1 and some extra goodies will be thrown in for attendees!

We are absolutely thrilled to announce we will be hosting the Preston Family Fun Park from the 19th of October right through to the 29th of October. Open daily from 12pm to 9pm (Thursday 19th & Friday the 20th from 4pm-9pm). With an extensive variety of thrilling rides such as the sky flyer, drop zone, speed buzz and plenty more, this fun park also brings its feature ride – the big wheel! Get a skyline view of Preston on the massive Ferris wheel coming to Fishergate car park! Fun for all the family, there are plenty of children’s rides as well as rides that will make your stomach drop. There’ll also be other typical fun park attractions and a variety of street food for you to snack on. We can’t wait to see you there, this event runs for 11 days, so make sure you’ve got an opportunity to come along.

Just £2 entry fee and ride tokens will be available to purchase at a token booth at the event or online (on Cowie’s website, not the Fishergate website). Individually, tokens will cost £1.50, but if purchased in strips of 10, they will cost £1, meaning a strip of 10 tokens is £10 – a fantastic £5 saving. Individual tokens can not be bought online, you will only be able to purchase strips of 10 digitally.

If you attend on Tuesday the 24th or Wednesday the 25th, these will be ‘wristband days’, meaning that if you purchase a wristband for £12, the wearer will be able to have free and unlimited rides for up to 3 hours. The wristband sessions will be from 12noon until 3pm, 3pm until 6pm and 6pm until 9pm. Tokens can still be used on both the wristband days.

The Hidden Figures photography display will be at the Fishergate Shopping Centre from Thursday 7^th September until the end of October. The photography will be displayed in five windows of the former-Debenhams store.

Hidden Figures is a Preston-based community group formed to help create positive experiences for the city’s female black community. It aims to inspire women to achieve whatever they want to achieve. The group offers emotional, practical, and health and well-being support to women, including organising community events. Hidden Figures group aims to foster the community togetherness experienced by its members in 1980s Preston.

The Hidden Figures core group – Rosaline Hypolite Halsall, Wendy Lewis, Cleo LaRocque, and Janet Hypolite – now meets in person every week on a Tuesday evening at Preston’s Windrush CIC in Oakham Court, hosted by Adrian Murrell who runs the venue, the Windrush Festival and is a Hidden Figures group member.

Get ready for an exciting encounter with farm animals at Allday’s Farm event on Thursday the 24th of August, from 12-3pm in the Fishergate Shopping Centre car park. Allday’s Farm, a mobile farm based right here in Preston, provides a hands-on, educational, and entertaining experience for the whole family. You’ll have the chance to meet and interact with a variety of friendly animals, from Shetland ponies and goats to sheep and ferrets. Don’t miss the chance to see these adorable farm animals up close, a fantastic event for children and families in Preston, we can’t wait to see you there.

Join us for a day of fun and magic at Dozy Dave’s Mix & Mingle Fun Day! Taking place on Tuesday the 22nd of August from 12-3pm, this event promises a magical experience for children and families alike. Dozy Dave is set to captivate you with his mixture of comedy magic, action-packed disco, engaging games, and balloon animals. This amazing magic show is modern, fast-paced, and bursting with fun, tailored especially for children aged 4 and over. Looking for events for children in Preston?
